Documentary Wedding Photography is a small business specialising in high quality reportage photography based in Bristol , UK (bordering Somerset and Gloucestershire). Morag MacDonald is highly qualified and experienced. She has both a BA (Hons) and a post graduate diploma in Documentary Photography from the UWCN (University of Wales College Newport). In 2003 she was awarded a 'Craftsman' of the Guild of Wedding Photographers, She is also a 'Craftsman' of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (Cr SWPP), and an Associate member of the British Professional Photographers Association (BPPA). Morag lectures in Photography and has recently finished writing a book titled 'A Professional Photographer's Guide to Digital Wedding Photography' (published 2007 by Argentum an imprint of Aurum Press). Morag MacDonald’s passion is for creating high end journalistic or magazine style wedding photography. She photographs Civil Partnerships with the same passion and style as her weddings. Morag carries out her work in the south, west and central England and south and central Wales. She covers other locations such as Jersey, the Channel Islands, Northern Ireland and Scotland by request. Morag has carried out many weddings abroad and will photograph wedding worldwide by special arrangement. All photographs are taken on high end Nikon D2x cameras with the latest top range Nikon lenses. Morag carries out documentary style wedding photography at Bristol venues such as: the Glass Boat, Byzantium , the Marriott Royal, Marriott City , Zoo Pavilion. South west venues that she love to photograph weddings at are: Thornbury Castle (Luxury Hotel, near Bristol and the Cotswold's, South Gloucestershire), Bath Spa Hotel (Luxury Georgian Mansion Hotel, Bath), Gloucester Cathedral, St Audries Park (Somerset), Clearwell Castle (Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire), Tonedale House (Wellington, Nr Taunton), Guyers House (Corsham, Wiltshire), Sudeley Castle (Gloucestershire), The Elvetham (Hampshire), Lords of the Manor (Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire). Further a field she often carry out wedding photography in places like: central London, Cardiff, Tetbury, the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Albright Hussey, Ellesmere, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Devon, Jersey, and Cornwall.
