Biographical notes:
I studied Documentary Photography under Clive Landen and Paul Seawright at Newport, graduating in 1998. Since then I have been working in photography, in fashion and press work, as time progressed I built up a substantial portfolio of regular clients including The Soil Association, Aardman Animations, Channel 4 Television, Ethos Press Agency, and various television production companies.
Our first daughter was born in 2000. In the same year I studied part time for a Post Graduate Certificate of Higher Education in Documentary Photography at Newport. In 2001 I gained a teaching post at Weston College where I was asked to write and deliver a new AS and A Level Photography course. I led the course for 3 years (on a part time basis), but eventually left to devote my time to my own work.
In 2005 I was approached to write a book on digital wedding photography. My book 'Wedding Photography a Professional Guide' was published by Argentum in February 2007 (ISBN 1-902538-47-1). In July 2007 my book gained the best selling position on Amazon for wedding photography.
As part of my photography business I currently run training courses for photographers in the industry and work as a visiting lecturer at Hereford College of Arts.
I constantly strive to move forward in my work. I am lucky; I love what I do. I hope you will love it too.
Jo Webster came to work with me in early summer 2007 when she finished her degree in Photography at Hereford College of Art and Design. She is talented and fun and has quickly become a great asset to the business. |
