Pregnancy, baby and family photography in Bristol by Morag MacDonald

When is it best to have a pregnancy/maternity photo shoot?

The best time for a pregnancy shoot is around 32 to 36 weeks, but the exact timing is down to you. You should really love your bump and feel that it is showing well. Some shoots happen earlier in pregnancy (especially when I photograph women who are pregnant with twins), sometimes I photograph maternity portraits right up to the due date.

Where will my shoot take place?

I usually photograph pregnancy portrait sessions in my comfortable studio at teh Paintworks in Bristol, but I offer locations shoots too. I have photographed pregnancy shoots on beaches, in anchient barns and in woodland as well as clients own homes. Please get in touch with me at the studio to discuss your ideas, my number is:   07957 253840  xxx

What about newborn baby portrait sessions

Book a beautiful relaxed photography session with your newborn baby in the comfort of your own home or at my studio.  Sessions last for 2-3 hours giving you lots of time for feeds and changes. Babies are best to photograph in their first 12 days of life, when they are sleepy and their backs still curve.  I prefer to work (with very small babies) with natural light only so please (if this is a home shoot) ensure you have some clear space with natural light in which to conduct the shoot.

Can my older children be in the shoot too?

I love to photograph the family together, but  I can just concentrate just on your new arrival if you prefer. Other siblings love to be part of shoots, but should not be expected to be there for too long, so it may be beneficial to have a friend or grandparent of hand to entertain older siblings when they have had their photographs taken.
