Over 5 weeks we will explore manual settings on your digital SLR camera so that you can take control of your images and catch the moments that you want to photograph. This feel good course will start Sunday 4th October 2020, running from 10.30 until 1.30pm (for good light), then running on 4  Tuesday evenings (6.30 - 8.30 pm).
This project based course you will give you a deeper insight to the aesthetics of images and build a body of work that hangs together as a cohesive set to exhibit at our final meeting.
You will be introduced to good working practices of image handling, resolution and printing. Simple digital darkroom techniques will be covered so that you can enhance your images really make them 'sing'.
You will be exposed to the inspirational work of many practitioners, encouraging you to form a body of work that both unique and personal.
A beautiful fine art photography book will be given as a prize to the person (in your tutors humble opinion) who creates the best piece of work or overcomes the greatest hurdles during this feel good course!

Course runs with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 people.

 

Begins Sunday 4th October 2019 - 10.30am - 1.30pm

Then runs on 4 Tuesday evenings:

Tuesday 6th October - 6.30 - 8.30pm

Tuesday 13th October - 6.30 - 8.30pm

Tuesday 20th - 6.30 - 8.30pm

  Break for half term and an extra week to shoot your project!

Tuesday 3rd November - 6.30 - 8.30pm

  • A digital SLR camera with at least one lens, a fully charged battery and a clean memory card.
    Appropriate clothing: Warm clothing and wet weather gear or a sun hat (sun cream too if we are luck enough to get a good day) as we will be shooting outside for a big chunk of the day at our first session.
    Pen and paper for notes.  

    Please bring a laptop with editing software (if you have one) such as Adobe Lighroom, Photoshop or Elements to all following sessions.
