Wedding photography at Ashwick Church and a wedding reception at the most wonderful organic farm overlooking Glastonbury Tor, Somerset
Being a Bristol wedding photographer, It is lovely to work close to home. My job is just the best when I meet such wonderful people as Ellie and Nick and their family and friends.
Story telling is a big part of my job. I love to take a documentary approach to my wedding photography, but I also throw in some really strong portraits. This wedding was a joy to photograph from start to finish. Beginning at the Oakhill Inn (Oakhill in Somerset) with the boys getting ready, there was a feeling of excitement and expectation that ran through this wonderful wedding.
Moving on to Ellies parents home, it was a chance to get to know the family, before a beautiful wedding ceremony at Ashwick Church in Somerset. The ceremony was conducted by the most wonderful vicar, who is a big part of village life in this lovely place. Confetti cannons marked Ellie and Nicks departure from the church, leaving in style in Ellies fathers car.
After the ceremony we visited an historic 600 year old oak, that Ellie had spend her childhood climbing. Visiting such a personal and special place was a fabulous 20 minutes out of a busy day for the couple.
The wedding reception was on a friends stunning organic farm overlooking Glastonbury Tor. With a hot summer this year, the hot baked ground and the warm golden hues of the landscape made the perfect backdrop for their wedding photography. Just stunning from start to finish.
The evening got into full swing with music by MC Entertainment.
